FAQs
Do I have to do all events?
Nope! We simply ask that you respond on the RSVP page which events you plan on attending.
What if I get there earlier than Friday?
There are many activities to do in the Boulder area and Rocky Mountain National Park is about an hour away. You can visit the THINGS TO DO page for inspiration. However, no wedding activities will start until Friday.
Will the wedding be inside or outside?
Both! The wedding ceremony will take place outside. The dinner will be in a tented area, and the party will be indoors. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside.
What is the weather like in Boulder in late September?
The weather is usually beautiful this time of year! The days are often in the 70/80’s, but once the sun sets, it can quickly cool off, so be prepared for a temperature drop.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes!
Tips for visiting the mountains (Altitude sickness)
STAY HYDRATED
Drink water! Start hydrating the week before and drink tons of it!
SUNNY DISPOSITION
Wear Sunscreen! You will be over a mile high from sea level which means the air is thinner and the sun is stronger. You will burn much quicker.
POTENTIAL BUZZKILL
Go easy on the drinking! Alcohol hits you harder at higher elevations.
EAT YOUR CARBS
Carbs help your body absorb oxygen better, and there is less of it the higher the elevation
WEAR LAYERS
Temperatures tend to drop once the sun goes down, so make sure you have something to stay warm in the evening.
Can I rent my own car?
Yes, you can! However your hotel might charge you for overnight parking. We will have shuttles to take you to and from the Welcome Party and Wedding. Take a look at our TRAVEL page for more information on transportation.
What should I plan to spend money on?
All wedding events will be covered. Expect to pay for flights, travel and lodging accommodations, and any extra activities you wish to explore.
This is my first queer wedding, what should I expect?
Be ready for lots of fun!!!
When is the RSVP due?
RSVPs for all weekend events, transportation, and food selection are due by September 5, 2025. Please visit the RSVP page to make your selections and submit.
Can I bring my kids?
We are hoping that parents will come to our wedding and enjoy a ‘weekend away’ from their kids. The wedding ceremony is adults only. However, if you decide to bring your children, please let us know so that they can enjoy kid-friendly activities during the actual ceremony. We will plan accordingly to keep them supervised and entertained.
How do I get to and from the venue?
We will provide shuttles to the Wedding on Saturday. Shuttles will leave from the designated hotels listed on the TRAVEL page
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we simply can’t accommodate for everyone to have a plus one. Therefore, we ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.
What is the dress code?
Friday, September 26: Colorado Casual*

Saturday, September 27: Cocktail Attire

Sunday, September 28: Casual

*Colorado Casual = a laid back style that shows off some western flair. It can range from smart jeans and a blazer to performance fleece and hiking boots. Of course cowboy hats are a key element, but not required. Get creative and have fun with it, or not!
When does the ceremony start?
The ceremony will start at 5:15pm. Hotel shuttles will be arriving 20-30 minutes early.
